Polishing the aluminum panels

Aside from the color changes the biggest cosmetic change will be using polished aluminum panels for the sides and rear.

I have never polished aluminum before and these have come out pretty well.  There will be more polishing closer to the end of the reassembly to get them perfect but they look darn good as they are:

From the left, the right corner panel has not been polished

From the center, the right corner panel has not been polished

From the right, this panel has not been polished

The method I used was pretty simple.  Wet sanded with 320, 600, 800, then 1500 grit then used a buffer with emory, then buffed with rouge.  Takes a while but not very difficult.
