Lots of huffing and puffing and welding later the emergency brake system is installed. I have yet to finish adjusting the cable tensions because I think I have to wait for the rear brakes to self adjust, which only happens if the car is actually driven (they auto adjust by driving the car in reversing and slamming on the brakes).
The toughest part of the entire install was setting the bracket to hold the ends of the cable housings. Since there is very little distance between the actuator handle and the cable housings the alignment has to be spot on. It took two tries to fabricate a bracket that held the proper alignment. But there is no binding in the actuation and there is plenty of clearance when the suspension is at full bump.
